Kids Are The Future

We don't want to hear of your hate and greed,
'Cause there's starving little children who we need to feed,
Don't want you spending all the money on bombs and booze,
While little kids are walking 'round without no shoes.
Don't want you passing down prejudice and hypocrisy,
While all we really want is a chance for real democracy,
Don't care about all your material false things,
But you can clean up all the parks and put in slides and swings.
We don't want to hear you yelling while stuck in traffic jams,
Just go and build some cycle ways and decent paths for prams,
And we're not impressed at all with your crap TV,
It' so bad and so destructive compared to what it ought to be.
We don't want to hear of your dissatisfying work,
Turning you all into grumpy moaning angry jerks,
And we don't want you killing love and creativity,
Let us use our minds for good, don't stifle our ability.
You see we may be small, but we've got open eyes,
You expose us to your porn and capitalistic lives,
You spending all the money on your big flashy cars,
On overpriced motorways and getting drunk in bars.
We want balloons and clowns and peace, to smile and learn and laugh,
Protection for the rhino, orangutan, giraffe,
Trees and green and colour, not ugly office blocks,
Just build love and empathy so we can cast away the locks.
We want to balance the imbalance, between the stinking rich and poor,
We want to sing and boogie, have wars a thing no more,
And stop destroying Mother Earth so she's healthy when we're big,
And please respect farmed animals, the chicken, cow and pig.
So please learn to be more loving and give us please a chance,
To have a decent future, not pissing in our pants,
Afraid of raids of bombs of wrongs, stemming from discrimination,
We can teach you imagination and help lift you to elation.
We want your love and friendship and in return we'll give much back to you,
We want the world more caring, better for all, our children too,
We'll set up a kiddy's party, where all kids can unite,
Look to us our elders and then you'll see the light.
Yes Kids Are The Future and we want it light and bright not shite
